“Over a lifetime I have collected small items from the family home and my travels — representing a labyrinth of icons reaching back to childhood, where my true essence is sought. Pandora’s Boxes — the female alters in ‘Sophia and the Seven Serpents’ seen at St John’s Church — are red lined electrical kit boxes once used in secondary science classes. They are symbolic of the ancient vessel of blessings, and of the procreative aspects of the Great Womb”.
